New York Boylesque Festival is in one month!
This week to celebrate the New York Boylesque Festival we spoke with Chicago Boyelsquer, Hot Toddy. While i was in Key West soaking up the sun, my assistant Brad asked these very piercing questions.

What other boylesque names did you consider before you decided on Hot Toddy?
Before I settled on Hot toddy I really wanted Daddy or Buster in my name. I did NOT want Hot in my name, because I thought I would get laughed off the stage. Michelle L’ampur convinced me to go with Hot Toddy, under duress. Lol but now I love it.
Last year you did a Liberace number, do you also have a yen for and with the ladies?
I don’t have a yen for the ladies, I would however love to go shopping with them & talk about cute boys.
What do you think of Michael Douglas as Liberace?
I’m beyond excited about the movie & think Michael Douglas will be amazing!! AND Debbie Reynolds is in it, so yay!
Daniel calls you a” tall drink of water.” What else have you been called?
And I’m not sure what else I’ve been called, but often times there’s been a reference to my rather large buttocks.
Have you created something new for this year? Or something well rehearsed?
This year I’m doing one of my favs, and actually the second piece I ever created, although I’ve never performed it in NYC, so I’m very excited!!
Do you have Boylesque groupies?
I don’t have any groupies that I’m aware of…although that would explain the pile of undies I keep finding at my front door…
My expectation & hope for this year is to actually get to see more of the other guys perform. I didn’t get to see that many last year, which was disappointing. I wanna see the boys do their thing!!! (And I want to see there thing)
Did daniel make you apply on the casting couch?
As far as Daniels casting couch, he said I was too old for it. He did, however, make me MOVE it for him, and there was a rather anxious line of 16yr olds in the hallway, soooooo…
What are you most looking forward to doing (or who) in your free time in NYC.
I’m planning in coming in a few days early to see some plays & actually enjoy New York with out having to rush through everything. And also catch up with some of my NYC burly buddies that I don’t get to see very often. It’s never enough time in New York though.
The ‘who’ I’ll do remains to be seen, but I am accepting applications.
